We need people with at least five years UNIX / Linux and Cisco IOS experience. Strong working knowledge of WAN / LAN backup strategies, network security, and administrative knowledge of Apache also required, as is the demonstrated ability to work autonomously on high availability projects. Responsibilities

  • Technical Support and trouble shooting, via phone and onsite
  • Communicating with customers to schedule installations and upgrades
  • Fulfilling incoming requests for technical information
  • Entering and working trouble tickets
  • Assisting the sales & marketing staff with configurations and quotes
  • Responsible for the systems administration of Linux, Solaris, Windows NT/2000 servers, Cisco routers, load balancers & switches, apache web servers, IIS, NetApp filers and NetCache.
  • Working with NetApp hardware and various platforms.
  • Resolving network and hardware issues within corporate locations and remote corporate sites
  • Ability to handle issues with clients while maintaining a professional attitude
  • Ability to collaborate with engineering to improve the department's operations
  • Support sales and business development in the US and internationally

Requirements:

  • 5 years High Availability Network & Server experience
  • Prefer Unix, Linux (prefer RedHat, SUN) and MS Knowledge
  • Administrative experience Apache, Cisco IOS, NetScreen/Juniper Firewalls
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Strong communication-written and oral--skills
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally to support our customers
  • Understand Load Balancing, WAN, LAN and Backup technologies
  • Understand network security concepts
  • Demonstrate knowledge of NetApp, Inc. equipment
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, and both on teams and in an autonomous fashion
