Michael Linett graduated from the University of Delaware in 1981 and began his career working for companies in purchasing and materials management. Mike developed a series of PC-based computer programs for inventory and materials management, eventually starting his own company. In 1989, Mr. Linett incorporated Zerowait in the state of Delaware. Over the following 10 years, he provided computer programming & consulting for large international organizations. During this period, Zerowait created and implemented inventory management programs in the USA, Singapore, Sweden, and Holland. By 1998, Zerowait became involved with the hardware side of the Internet specializing in the niche markets of load balancing, data storage, caching, and backup technologies. By 2003 Zerowait had defined a niche market in the independent storage hardware service and support business. Since then Zerowait has grown every year, and continues to thrive as organizations continue to look for the most efficient and economical way to manage their storage infrastructures.
With a background in chemical, engineering, and geological sciences as well as professional writing, July Linett worked for the Bureau of Mines' hazardous waste division and then served as an officer in the United States Air Force's Air Weather Service prior to joining the Zerowait Team in 1998. July Linett is now lead Operations and Finance officer at Zerowait and has played an integral role in the development of Zerowait's production and services methodology and procedures that are at the heart of our integrated Enterprise Requirements Planning (ERP) system.
Rob Robinson – Vice President, Sales
After a stint with an Intel group in the Air Force during the Vietnam conflict, Rob began his high tech career as a field engineer for Data General. With the advent of the PC, Rob moved to a sales engineer position repping PCAD, a pioneer in the PC CAD field. Moving to Adaptec, Rob began to focus on storage, first as Director of Sales for the SCSI tools group, then as project manager for one of the SCSI controller chips. Sticking with storage and IC’s, Rob spent time in both sales and marketing with a couple of startups, Initio and PLX, then looking at the possibilities of the internet, joined NetApp selling the NetCache line. During his time at NetApp, Rob was Director of Sales for NetCache US, then ROW. Rob took time off to focus on his children and carpentry, then joined Zerowait as a sales and marketing consultant in 2006, shifting into his fulltime role as VP Sales in 2008.
Farat Buta - Director of European Operations
Farat is responsible for business development and client relationships in the European Union. Prior to joining the Zerowait team, Farat was the General Manager for a Sun Microsystems distributor responsible for the entire EMEA region.
Jonathan Burnett - CTO
Mr Burnett joined Zerowait in 2000, after several years of working in the insurance technology sector where he developed his security and networking expertise. Since joining Zerowait he has become an expert in NetApp's technology and on squeezing extra performance out of filers. He has managed the growth of the Zerowait engineering team and developed our core technologies so that our service and support customers get the absolute best support in the business.
Michael Dawson - Director of Marketing
Michael joined Zerowait while still attending The University of Delaware. Over the past several years he has worked in many departments of the company and is now responsible for the website, online store, and marketing materials. Mike and his staff also handle many of the special management and support projects including their customized shipping, reporting and distribution requirements.
