How to Configure Autosupport
- Connect to the filer via telnet, ssh or through the console.
- Enter the following commands
options autosupport.mailhost [your mail server MX record or IP address]
options autosupport.to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Kick Off Autosupport
- Connect to the filer via telnet, ssh or through the console.
- Enter the following commands:
options autosupport.doit doit
Turn Off Autosupports to NetApp
- Connect to the filer via telnet, ssh or through the console.
- Enter the following commands:
options autosupport.support.enable off

NetCache Autosupport Configuration
How to Configure Autosupport - From Web GUI
- Login to your NetCache from your browser
- Navigate to the Setup tab, which is located at the top.
- On the left side of the screen, click Administration.
- From the options displayed in the drop down, click Autosupport.
- The options displayed for Autosupport are on the screen. Click the box Enables Autosupport.
- You can now configure several different options:
- First, configure the sender. We recommend This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . (Anything can go here.)
- Please set complete Autosupports. Minimal will not allow our system to process your Autosupport correctly.
- Decide how you want to handle the option to enable sending Autosupports to NetApp, Inc. Since they are no longer supporting your NetCache unit, we suggest you disable by unchecking the box.
- Set up Event and Weekly Autosupport to go to the following email address: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
- Configure the mailhost: Mail Server MX Record or IP Address.
- Once you have configured Autosupport, please click Send a Test Autosupport to make sure that it is working properly.
- To finalize the changes, click the Commit Changes button at the bottom of the screen.
